Dear sisters and brothers,

In November of 1995 Swami announced that henceforth every November 19th would be celebrated as Ladies Day. The current issue of SYAN aims to explore the virtues, roles, and ideals of women and commemorates "Ladies Day." For this issue, we invited the Young Adult Advisors in the United States to share their experiences and insights on this topic.

Clearly the confines of our pages do not allow us to explore this topic in just one issue; we invite a continued dialogue on this very important theme and ask you to share your thoughts and questions.

A team of twenty-four hardworking and dedicated young adults from around the United States presents every issue of SYAN to you. On this occasion of Swami's 76th Birthday, we humbly place at His lotus feet a redesign of both the print and internet versions of your newsletter.
