| The
universe tells the story of a whole that is now so very many parts. I peer
into the sky, awed to see light from distant galaxies that has traveled
from the far reaches of the universe over billions of years. Popular science explains that this universe originated from the same, single source, torn apart in the Big Bang, ever expanding. That photon originated from the same source as me, yet it drifted far, far away. The universe tells the story of a whole that is now so very many parts. |

You and I were
one then; our matter a single source. Science explains
that blazing suns are formed through a process of intense transformation.
It was compassion
that caused you to leave. You left to teach
me that there is an end, that in the fire of transformation one day, I
too will Time and again,
you traveled that void to reach me. You and I were
One then, and now we are One again. |
