Dear Sisters and Brothers,

Every issue of SYAN strives to present your experiences, viewpoints, creativity, and activity relating to the learning and practice of our dear Swami's teachings. The theme for the current issue is Sai Youth: Groups in Action. All the Young Adult Representatives came together to present to you the activities and learnings that have occurred in every corner of the United States. Each piece presents a different facet of young adult activities and common challenges faced.

For this issue, our SYAN reporters worked on an investigative report on the formation and development of the young adult program in the US. As you read through the newsletter, apply a critical eye to the activities presented and lessons learnt to see how they might apply to you as an individual or the young adult group in which you participate. The recent Service Conference in Prashanti Nilayam has given us all much food for thought; it is time now to turn thought into action.

Over the past number of months many of you shared with us your suggestions about SYAN and how it can help young adults better communicate with and learn from one another. We ask you to continue to share your ideas, enthusiasm, and support … this is your newsletter.
