CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS, SUMMER 2005 ISSUE
Sai 80: A Self-Transformation Offering

“Life must have an ideal before it, It must proceed towards a goal, And it must be a constant march. Life has as its sole purpose: Man becoming Divine, the transformation of the man.”

The year 2005 marks the beginning of activities as our Organization celebrates Sathya Sai Baba's 80th year. As you may have already heard from your regional and local Young Adult contacts, we would like to offer Swami our personal transformation as a gift for His 80th birthday, as a national offering.

The next issue (Summer ’05) of SYAN will report on these efforts, and we invite Young Adult groups to share updates of workshops, service projects, study circle discussions, and other activities relevant to this topic. The current issue of SYAN includes a Q & A section on self-transformation, which we would like you to participate in and submit your answers to be compiled and published.

In addition to the newsletter, the national Young Adult website, www.saiyausa.net, will be used as a forum to track our collective progress. Groups and individuals are encouraged to provide feedback on your progress, any challenges you face and other experiences while treading on this path of self-improvement. Anecdotal stories and lessons learned can also be shared, demonstrating spirituality in action.

In addition, we welcome articles, photographs, artwork, reports and stories from Sai youth on the following topics, but not limited to:

1. YA Regional/Group Reports
2. Personal Transformation - practicing Swami's teachings.
3. Service - experiences, ideas, examples
4. Personal experiences with Swami - in physical presence
